Service Champions Tennis Classic
If you play just one tournament this year… make it the Service Champions Tennis Classic.
This is your invitation to play in the Bay Area’s largest and best doubles tournament. What started as a club mixer to help a local animal shelter in distress has become a must-play event for Bay Area tennis players. The tournament is held every year over Memorial Day Weekend, and in 2026 it will be hosted jointly at The Club at Livermore and The Club at Castlewood. Invite a friend or family member and come play a tournament unlike any other while helping local no kill shelters at the same time!
What’s new this year
- We’ve added a USTA-sanctioned singles event.
Registration & Entry
Entries open February 13, 2026. Most draws will fill, so sign up early.
Tennis doubles is $150 per player for your first event, and $100 per player for a second tennis event. Tennis singles pricing is TBD. More info about singles will be available soon.
Pickleball is $100 per player for your first event, and $50 per player for a second pickleball event.
For tennis, you may enter up to 3 events total (two doubles + one singles). One doubles event should be men’s or women’s doubles and the other should be mixed doubles.
You can play either tennis or pickleball, but not both.
Entry fees include a custom tournament shirt, a nice player bag, and catered lunch all three days. We’ll also have wine, beer, margaritas, and drinks all weekend, so plan on coming out, hanging out, and enjoying a great weekend with friends and family! Players are guaranteed two matches in each division.
Entries are accepted until May 21, but prices increase after May 1: tennis goes up to $200 per player, and pickleball goes up to $150 per player. No refunds. We’re hoping to have draws posted online by May 21.
Match Format (Tennis)
Matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with ad scoring, the third set will be a 10-point super tiebreaker. Most tennis divisions will use regular draws with a consolation draw for first-round losers, unless a division is run as a round robin.
Schedule Overview
The tournament runs May 23–25. While we can’t guarantee it, if you have a scheduling conflict over the weekend we’ll do our best to work around it — we want everyone to be able to play.
For tennis, singles generally start at 8:00 AM, men’s and women’s doubles at 10:00 AM, and mixed doubles in the afternoon.
Pickleball follows a round-robin format with four skill groups (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+) and two age groups per skill (18–54 and 55+). Men’s and women’s doubles are on Saturday, mixed doubles on Sunday, and the final two matches for each skill/age group are on Monday.
Venues & Check-In
Matches are played at The Club at Livermore and The Club at Castlewood. Please check the published draw to confirm where your matches are scheduled.
All players must check in at The Club at Livermore on Saturday to pick up shirts, hats, and swag bags. Food, drinks, and auctions will be hosted at The Club at Livermore.
Juniors, Spectators, Auction, Volunteers
To encourage family participation, juniors may play in adult divisions. If you’re unsure which division fits, email us and we’ll help place them.
Friends, spectators, and family are welcome. Daily food/drink bands can be purchased for $20 at the tournament desk.
We’ll have a silent auction running all weekend and ending Monday at 10:00 AM. In past years, auction items have included golf experiences, incredible getaway stays, tennis apparel and gear, and even US Open Presidential Suite tickets.
We’re always looking for volunteers and sponsors. If you’d like to help, contact us at tennis4dogs@gmail.com. To see past years’ photos and champions, visit our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/TriValleyDoublesChampionships
